I did attempt to texture this using UV's however this method was not to my liking. I was trying to achieve the white highlight in the concept art however when I rendered it and moved it around the white highlight didn't really work as I had imagined it. I felt that for a simple piece it was best to use the shader without UVing the model.

  1. Hi Kayliegh - I think it would be worth having a chat with Ryan B re. his method in terms of texturing and lighting etc. for his world, as in terms of art direction and feel, your 'jelly' worlds are similar.

  2. Could a more cylindrical UV map work? It's more easy to loop and while there would be some texture squashing and stretching, it could work to your advantage. Just a thought :)

    1. I'm not sure why but however I mapped it the UV's it didn't work very well when I plugged a file in my Maya bugged a lot. I'll test the cylindrical map today and see if it works better
